  MIGRANTE PARTYLIST is a sectoral party of Overseas Filipinos and their families upholding and defending the rights and welfare of Overseas Filipinos and their families, and serve as a catalyst for Overseas Filipinos Unity and Solidarity.

Objectives:
1.                 
Promotes the discussion to overseas Filipino Workers on matters affecting them and as a catalyst for Overseas Filipinos’ Unity and Solidarity;
2.                 
Participates critically in the affairs of the government and society involving Overseas Filipinos abroad and Families.
3.                 
Aims to be at the forefront of upholding and defending the rights and welfare of overseas Filipinos and shall lead in the advocacy of Overseas Filipinos issues and concerns;
4.                 
To strengthen the unity among organizations of Overseas Filipinos and their families in the Philippines and abroad;
5.                 
Launches educational campaigns aimed at raising the civic and political consciousness of Overseas Filipinos and their families;
6.                 
To support and participate in the attainment of the aspirations of the Filipino people.

Rights of members:

a.   To participate in the meeting and discussion and implementation of programs, policies, and decision of the organization;
b.   To vote and to be elected;
c.    To present suggestions and grievances in the organization;
d.   Recommend applicants for membership in the organization;
e.    To lead in the implementation of resolutions by the organization;
f.      To be appointed officer and member of a committee;
g.   To resign as member.

Duties of a member:
a.  Uphold the Constitution and obey the programs and policies of the organization;
b.  To attend meetings and other activities of the organization;
c.   To recruit members for the organization;
d.  To pay membership fees and monthly dues.
      
Party Structure and Officers:

Party Convention, held every three (3) years, and the highest policy making body of MIGRANTE. It comprised all voting delegates approved for the Convention.

The Convention elects an Executive Board, which serves as the interim highest policy making body and primary executive body of MIGRANTE between Conventions. The Executive Board comprised of the following officers elected by the delegates of the Convention:

a.  Chairperson
b.  Vice-Chairperson
c.   Secretary-General
d.  Deputy Secretary-General
e.   Treasurer
f.     Auditor

The Executive Board serves for a term of three (3) years. After the expiration of their terms of office, they may however continue to serve in a hold-over capacity until their successors are duly elected and qualified.


The Executive Board creates a Secretariat composed of Coordinators of the Party national functional committees, and headed by the Secretary-General. This Secretariat serves to oversee the continuing operations of the party.

Chapters comprises the basic unit of the Party, and shall be created in territorial units with a large population of overseas Filipinos and their families.
